Podcasting
The topic I chose was The impact of talk radio and podcasts on shaping public opinion. We chose Seth Shuler to speak on our podcast because he knows a lot about the Bible and loves to listen to Christian podcasts, so this topic really stuck out to us because we all could relate to listening to a Christian podcast. Me personally I love listening to podcasts I listen to the Sadie Robertson podcast well that's good and it has helped me get through so many hard times and help me connect with more people than I ever thought I could it's such a good podcast and I encourage anyone to listen to it because it's real authentic, and has such good advice in it.
The idea of delivering audio over the internet existed in the 1990s, but true podcasting didn’t emerge until the early 2000s with the rise of RSS (Really Simple Syndication). In 2003, software developer Dave Winer added the ability to attach audio files to RSS feeds. In 2004, former MTV VJ Adam Curry helped create the first program that allowed users to download audio shows to their devices automatically. Journalist Ben Hammersley coined the term “podcasting” (iPod + broadcasting) in a The Guardian article in February 2004. A major turning point came in 2005 when Apple added podcasts to iTunes and made them playable on the iPod. This suddenly exposed podcasts to millions of listeners. The first podcast awards were created. When Apple introduced the Podcasts app in 2012, listeners no longer needed computers at all. Today, Podcasting is now a major media industry with billions in revenue. Listeners enjoy a huge variety of genres: true crime, sports, comedy, news, storytelling, education, faith-based podcasts, and niche hobby topics.
We prepared for this podcast by getting together after class one day and talking about which topic we would want to choose. Then, when we chose the topic we wanted, we discussed our similarities, and we both concluded that we really love podcasts and we love Christian podcasts. So we picked someone who would also agree with us, so we picked Seth Shuler because he is always talking about how much he loves them as well. I think the only challenge we faced while recording is laughing during some of the conversations just because we were having such a good time and we got to learn so much about each other through this I learned that through interviewing is really easy to just listen to the one person that is talking and not fully answer the questions but I was so mesmerized by what he was saying it helped me understand so much that I miss understood.

Again, the topic I chose was the impact of talk radio and podcasts on shaping public opinion. And as the history and statistics state, podcasts are just getting bigger and bigger, and so I feel like they have a huge impact on our society because they are making an impact on people's lives.
